Holiday home ‘t Hofje is a nice house on one of the oldest streets in Castricum. You will find many admirable old farms on this spacious, quiet street, and it is located near the center of Castricum. The train station is never far away and you can be in Amsterdam in half an hour, but you will also find plenty of nice restaurants, fashion stores and ice cream shops. A visit to the sea is never far away, so you can cycle into the dunes in a few minutes and be on the beach within twenty minutes. Not to be forgotten is the playground with spacious lawn in the street.
You can park your car and/or bicycles safely behind the house; the entire site is fenced and largely out of sight of the road. Guests have access to two bicycles in the bicycle shed at the side of the house, and there is also a bicycle rental service for additional (children’s) bicycles an 11-minute walk away. The house is on one level and offers space for four people with two bedrooms. Pets are welcome!

We provide all the basic necessities for your first day, such as coffee cups, tea, sugar, washing-up cubes, detergent and toilet paper, so that you can start your stay worry-free!
Is the house comfortable even in winter?
The house has central heating and is therefore ideal for cold winters.
Have you taken small children in the house into account?
There are no cribs, high chairs or crockery available in the house. The house is on one level, which makes it safer for small children.
Can our bicycles be kept dry?
Extra bicycles cannot be stored inside, in the bicycle shed on the side of the house there are two bicycles that guests have at their disposal.
Is there sufficient cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils?
There is an extensive set of kitchen utensils and a 4 burner electric hob for cooking. The inventory and crockery/cutlery is suitable for 4 people.
Is there an oven available?
The kitchen has a combination microwave that can also be used as an oven.
Is the house in a sunny location?
The terrace has a southern location, which is a wonderful place to relax all year round because of the shelter. If it gets too hot in the summer, you can use the large parasol.
Is there a supermarket nearby?
Yes, the ALDI supermarket is less than 800 meters from the house and is also open on Sundays.
Is smoking allowed in the house?
No, smoking is not allowed in the house.
We charge a fixed nightly price of €167 all year round. No price increases during high season.

Great stay, quiet for a nice getaway
What a great house for a family of four to stay in. It was just my husband and I and it was such great accommodation. Having two bikes was so nice that we cycled everywhere and could easily walk or ride to the store and restaurants. It was also close to the farm which we loved. We would definitely stay there again. The patio at the back was also a plus, as we had beautiful weather when we were there. Also close to the beach!! The hosts were perfect and answered all our questions in a timely manner! Thank you!
It was just great. Sweet house with everything you need. Quiet location, near the beach (10 min.) by car. Hans and Marga were very friendly and uncomplicated. We would love to come back again.

We had such a wonderful stay in Castricum. The place was perfectly located to explore the area above Amsterdam, but also not too far to drive south. Amsterdam was only a 40 minute drive. We saw many tulip fields and went for a walk on the beach every day. All the beach restaurants were delicious with great food. The house was clean with everything we needed including linen and towels and basic supplies for the first few days. The owners even left beds, toys and bowls for our dogs! Thank you ☺️
